BRIEF
Develop a versatile and visually captivating tiny flower print for accessories that aligns with the Cath Kidston brand identity. Maintain the brand's hand-drawn style while ensuring a distinct and recognizable design. Create a unique and refreshing print that offers customers a new and enticing product to purchase across various categories.
ACTION
I used Photoshop to hand-draw the print and manually created a repeat tile. Drawing inspiration from vintage florals found at flea markets, I carefully selected color combinations and researched relevant images. With my Wacom pen, I directly created the print from scratch in Photoshop. I then used Illustrator to develop graphic placements for the design.
OUTCOME
The Ashbourne Ditsy print was a huge success, loved by customers and clients alike. Its widespread popularity made it the top choice for a variety of products. Not only that, but its influence went beyond the initial collection, inspiring the creation of additional graphic placement collections and serving as a key element for novelty print designs.
