BRIEF
As a print designer for Cath Kidston, I was tasked with creating a repeat hand-drawn print of lemons for summer. The design needed to be versatile, suitable for fashion, kids, home, and accessories categories, and be in a small scale. The brief called for bold and beachy colors to evoke a vibrant summertime aesthetic.
ACTION
As the lead designer for accessories, I seamlessly blended Disney's iconic sketches with Cath Kidston's classic prints. The standout piece, my design, was the sell-out Flying Velvet Bag. We chose a midnight blue color to represent the characters flying at night, adding a touch of enchantment to the collection.
OUTCOME
The Flying Velvet Bag became the most popular item in the collection, quickly selling out and gaining immense attention. It perfectly captured the essence of the collaboration, combining classic London-inspired elements with the beloved Peter Pan story. The collection's success enhanced both brand's reputations.
